17. Shipment/workshop

Started the morning with one of my favorite shifts - Shipment!

Even though it's crazy early, I always really like doing shipment shifts. It's incredibly soothing, taking everything out, getting it all set up. Yeah. I like it.

That evening was the first of the MTAA TalkBack Series. Steph learned that Starbucks would be closed so we spent the morning trying to come up with a new plan. I was at work so I could only hope that everyone else would figure something out. Finally Amy got a reservation for Court Jester and we were all good to go. A few kids came, a few adults came, we had a good time even if it wasn't as huge as we hoped.

16. PhotoPass Day 1

15. MTAA Party/Meeting

Our second MTAA meeting of the year. Ha! We go months without one and now three in one month? Figures. This one was to go over the workshop on Monday. And a little Board bonding. So we ordered pizza and hung out at Steph's for a few hours. Joshie, of course, got involved. He's growing up so fast! What a little ham - definitely going to be a theater kid.

14. New Toy

Have I mentioned I love Toy Story Mania? Because I LOVE Toy Story Mania. So when I saw this in the toy clearance at Target, I died.

13. Cleaning up my Christmas

I decided it was time for me to clean up some of the stuff in my room. Including the billions of tree trimmings I bought after Christmas lol. I'm kind of obsessed. After I did the Princess Tree last year, I'm all about the theme trees. So this year at Michael's I bought tons of their trimmings at 60-80% off. Woot! So then I just had to pack it all up for next year. I'm all set, for just about any theme I can think up.

12. SnOwMG Pt II

More snow. And I had to dig out and get to work. I wish life was more like when I was little and the world just shut down whenever there was a lot of snow. I mean, this was only another few inches, but is it completely necessary for all the offices to be open at 9am? Grrr

11. Nani

Another day of not-damn-much. Nani's been here for, well, ever it seems because of all the snow & holidays & weekends & whatever other reasons we have for keeping her here.

10. Taking Down Christmas

Mom & Dad started taking down Christmas around the house. I'm leaving mine up for a bit more. I refuse to capitulate to The Man.

9. New Year Stage Set

New Year, New Stage Set.
Had to get all the new stuff out. We started abt 6 (closed the store at 7:30) and worked until midnight. I set all the kids cups then the Valentine's stuff - which, ps, is super cute!

8. MTAA Epic Meeting

Honestly? The ENTIRE day today was spent on an Epic MTAA Meeting. Even more epic than usual! We started at 10:30 am and went until about 4pm. All via chat. Geez. But we got a lot talked about, so it was clearly necessary.

7. So Many Cameras

The goal for tonight *was* to get all my photos and videos out of all my cameras and into my computer. But it was so not happening. Everything went wrong.

ugh. Finally I gave up and went to bed. Looks like the goal is getting postponed to another day.

6. Permanent

Got a great phone call this morning. LaurenK called to offer me Permanent Status with Disney! ::SQUEEEE::

Adios Temp CM Shirt. Well, in a few weeks when the PermCM shirt arrives.

So I spent a good portion of the morning floating. And a good portion of the evening working.

Yup, vacation is over and life is back to normal.

5. Back to Work

Got home at like 2am. Woke up at 8 to go to work. Not fun times. But I brought my new friend with me!

That was pretty much my day. Work, come home, crash. Did a little unpacking, but not much. Hard getting back in the groove.

4. Last Day at Disney....For Now

Woke up super early after my crazy delirious sleep. Felt great but had no internal clock left. So I just worked on packing & drinking Gatorade until I finally could head into a park. Dropped everything with the bellhop and went off to MK. Wandered for a bit then found myself at Aloha Isle. Of course. I ordered a Dole Whip and since it was so early, both the servers turned to fill the order. When they turned back and both had one they laughed. With no one else in line to take the second, I got both! Not bad for a first-meal-after-being-sick.

"Really?" "Really." "Well, I guess you get both."

I didn't feel up to doing any crazy rides so I just hit the classics and then did a last tour of Toontown. Which was a little weird since I really said goodbye to ToonTown last December and now I've been there again twice. But I got some good pictures of Minnie's house, so I'm happy.

Got to see Marching Band and Dapper Dans too. Yay! Ended with one last trip to Down Town Disney before heading back to Pop then off to the airport.

I always wish that I had more time in Disney, but this was a very good, very full, trip so I was happy with it!

3. Tangled Meet & Greet

Started my first day alone by hitting Magic Kingdom super early. My goal: Tangled. Eyes on the prize lol. Though I did stop to watch Trolley Show because I videoed it the first time and wanted to get some still shots. But then straight to Tangled! Made it into the first M&G and had a great time with them. We discussed satchels and carrying your most prized possessions in them - unless your most prized possession is a girl with 70 ft of hair ;-)

"Was that cheesy?" "Yes, very. But in the best possible way." "I can't take him anywhere."

I definitely had a BLAST with them.
I started to feel sick soon after so I wandered a bit - stopped in at MISICI, then tried to eat something at Casey's. Definitely a bad idea. I debated hitting First Aid or just going back to the hotel. Hotel won, but as I was waiting at the bus stop I started throwing up. Guess it was a good thing I missed the first bus. Yuck. Made it back to the hotel room without problem and went straight to bed. That was the rest of my day. Well, that and a few delirious dreams about partying with Goofy & pals. Awesome. Woke up the next morning fine though, so must have been just a short stomach flu.

But I got to meet Rapunzel & Flynn, so still a good day.

2. Not Operating Today

First thing we see when we walk into Hollywood Studios?

Sadness. Amy had left crazy early, so it was just Sue & I. After hanging out at DHS for a bit, we went to Animal Kingdom to try and get Sue her Christmas Eeyore photo - which we did. Plus a couple of rides, some Flame Tree, and a successful DAK trip was had. We got Sue on the Magical Express and I stayed at the hotel to relax a bit.

A slow day, but one that was definitely needed after the craziness of the rest of the trip.

1. Last Block Party Bash

Happy New Year!
After a relatively late start, we went straight to DHS for the last ever Block Party Bash. We found Patrick & Pocket, then grabbed lunch at Starring Rolls where Brad found us. Then basically as soon as we finished eating we staked out our spot at "The Trash Cans" for Toy Unit. Banks Lee was right across the street and we Tweeted back & forth a bit (lol neither of us willing to give up our spots to actually greet one another). As soon as first stop was over, we followed to where the bugs would be dancing. And as soon as second stop was over, we followed to ball toss. We ended up right in the middle of the dancers who weren't working but attended to cheer. It was so emotional! Seeing them, my own feelings about the parade.... A really good time though. They did a "super finale" with all of the dancers at ball toss. So incredibly glad I got to be there for it.

This party NEVER STOPS!

We did hit MK for a little while that evening, and I FINALLY got to try the Peppermint ice cream - so good! Very happy Disney Food Blog mentioned it so I knew to look for it.
